The first meeting of representatives of Election Management Bodies of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal & Pakistan held in Dhaka, Bangladesh incepted the notion of establishing the Forum. Consequently,the Annual General Meetings of the Forum were held in the member countries and the charter for the forum was also adopted with the aim of fulfilling the objectives of the Forum.
